Day of Hope

The National day of Hope is held on December 7th each year. The day was declared an officially recognised day of youth social action by then PM Boris as part of the 20th anniversary commemoration of Damilola Taylor. Hope Collective member "I Will" is managing the activity plan for the Day of Hope and in 2025 is planning one of the biggest days of youth social action staged in the UK to commemorate the 25th anniversary.

Day of Hope

7th December 2023

The Day of Hope is a day of youth social action and celebration of the kind of young person Damilola represented and will see the biggest ever day of youth social action staged on December 7th 2023 when a giant mural of Damilola is unveiled on the side of Peckham Library.

UK Youth and NCS will be working together with the #I Will campaign to produce an event entirely led by young people which will also herald the launch of the REIMAGINED manifesto.

The Violence reduction units will stage mini events around their regions while events will be staged in every Onside Zone.
