Alex Atherton

Alex Atherton is an experienced secondary school headteacher, education consultant and leadership coach. He had two headships in large and diverse inner London schools and a further interim headship in alternative provision. He was the education lead on a parliamentary commission into violence affecting young people which led to funding for additional Violence Reduction Units across the UK.

He also supports leaders within and beyond education as a one-to-one coach, and in long-term coaching programmes for leadership teams. He talks at conferences and events about empowering leaders and teams, and about recruiting, retaining and motivating Generation Z.
